Find out in this video how in spite of being a Shudra he was accepted as a Brahmin. <br /><br />Don't forget to Share, Like & Comment on this video<br /><br />Subscribe Our Channel Artha : https://goo.gl/22PtcY <br /><br />1 Rishi Satyakama was a Vedic sage who is said to have experienced the true and purest nature of Brahmanism.<br /><br /> 2 At a very young age, the sage was curious about the nature of Brahman and eager to learn about the ways of Dharma and Tapasya.<br /><br />3 To acquire more knowledge, Satyakama visited the sage Haridrumata Gautama, requesting for the permission to stay in his Ashrama for Brahmacharya.<br /><br />4 His mother’s name was Jabala, who was a cowherder and not many people know that he used his mother’s name instead of his father’s.<br /><br /> 5 According to Jabala Upanishad and Samaveda-Chandogyopanishad, Satyakama Jabala is identified as the Vedic Sage, who was the seeker of wisdom.<br /><br />6 His stories in the ancient Hindu text explain the true form of “Maatru Devata” and every individual’s duties towards their mothers.<br /><br />7 Satyakama was accepted as a Shishya (student) for his honesty, as it was the mark of a "Brahmana” the true seeker of Brahma Vidya.<br /><br />8 Satyakama was given the Upadhyaya ceremony by Sage Gautama, after which he sent him to the fields to learn Brahma Vidya naturally while tending a number of cows.<br /><br />9 At this time, Satyakama had a conversation with a bull, fire, swan (Hamsa) and diver bird (Madgu), who were representatives of Vayu, Agni, Aditya and Prana.<br /><br />10 Isn’t this fact fascinating that even during the Vedic era, the person’s ambition mattered instead of his Gotra?
